HEAVY TRUCK
Tata LPT 2518 is a truck under the heavy-weight category of vehicles manufactured by TATA. It is one of those range of vehicles which is best-suited for long distance applications and offer excellent fuel efficiency. The truck has an engine of the following specifications – water cooled, turbocharged, inter-cooled common rail diesel engine. The 5883 cc engine is quite efficient for this truck. This engine has 6 engine cylinders and complies with the environment friendly BS - IV emissions rules and standards. With these engine specifications, the truck is able to churn maximum power amounting to a figure of 175 BHP at 2500 RPM and maximum torque of the value 700 Nm @ 1200 - 1600 RPM. With manual transmission mode & 6 - speed gear transmission box this truck also has single plate dry friction 352 mm organic clutch. Its fuel tank can carry 350 liters fuel at a time and it is easy to maneuver the vehicle on steel slopes as it has a gradeability of 26%.
It has a customizable body and chassis with COWL and has no cabin. It is available in wheelbase variant - 6255 mm. Also, it has a good payload carrying capacity of 19 tons out of a GVW of 25 tons. It has air brakes and power steering. ABS, power steering, parking brakes, fog lights, tubeless tyres and seat belts are some of the safety features of this vehicle. Also, it provides for driver information display for additional assistance to the driver.
